Jo Butler Executive Coaching and Consulting

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And you are the one who’ll decide where to go…”

– Dr. Seuss, Oh The Places You’ll Go!

Coaching for Change

At Jo Butler Consulting, we help clients gain self-awareness, clarify goals, achieve their development objectives, and unlock their potential. We act as a sounding board to explore options and analyze outcomes.

Investing in Your Growth

Whether you are on a path of continuous improvement and find yourself stalled or ready to make a significant career move, coaching can be a powerful tool to help you think deeply about your goals, ask the hard questions, explore options, create a plan and be accountable.

Why Coaching

Coaching can increase self-awareness, enhance your ability to identify solutions and options, and strengthen your performance, targets and goals.

About Jo

Coaching, teaching, helping cheerleading, challenging and supporting. Jo Butler uses many approaches to help her clients be the best versions of themselves and to become the amazing people of impact they were born to be. Jo earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and her coaching certification from Columbia University. For more than a decade, she served as a senior search consultant at Wickenden Associates, helping private schools recruit heads of schools.

The Process

Whether you are making a small personal change or a career leap, coaching can unlock your potential and improve your odds for success. It can improve your focus, hold you accountable, build your confidence, and help you explore a variety of perspectives. Coaching facilitates continual development of the client, both as an individual and as a leader. Many clients describe the process as transformational.

Coaching can be done in several different ways – in person, by phone, or by video conference. Sessions typically run about an hour and can be contracted for a limited specific goal using 3-6 sessions, or for an extended commitment, which could run for whatever time period is mutually agreed upon by coach and client.

"Jo never tells me, in our sessions, what I should be doing next. Instead, she asks questions that move my own thinking along, so that, at the end of the conversation, I am ready to move forward in a direction that reflects who I am in the most authentic way."
