Voting Information
Primary Election: Tuesday, June 8, 2010 Polls are open 6am - 8pm
Who can vote in the primary?
If you are a Democrat or if you are unaffiliated with a party, you can vote in the Democratic primary. In New Jersey, you join a party by going to the polls and voting in a primary election. You are then affiliated with a party - it's that simple! The majority of voters in NJ are unaffiliated, largely because many people have not yet voted in a primary election. In a town like ours, which is dominated by one party — no Republicans have filed to run for Borough Council this year — Democratic primary voters essentially choose the council members.
Registration Information
Last day to register to vote in the primary is May 18.
